Abstract

The Brazilian labor market is still highly segmented in terms of race, color, and gender. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to analyze whether public policies addressing race in Brazil contribute to the inclusion and empowerment of Black women in the labor market. To support this analysis, the study employs the concept of the Ethical Diamond, presented by Herrera Flores. The research is structured through a bibliographic review. Based on the addressed issue, an explanatory qualitative research approach was adopted. The study concludes that we are on the right path toward achieving human dignity for Black Brazilian women. However, to reach this goal, it is necessary to create effective public policies that engage all members and sectors of society in developing mechanisms for inclusion and empowerment while eliminating any form of discrimination related to color, race, or gender.
