This article intends to analyze the evolution in the forms of the migrants productive insert that contributed to the population increment and the development of the West Region of Paraná. For this, the process of occupation of the area will be analyzed,initially in the condition of agricultural border, using most of the migrants in activities of the rural way. The economical growth and the regional development promoted an exclusion process in the field, starting from the introduction of modern techniques of production in the agriculture, what leads the creation in new ways of productive insert in linked activities to the urban way, as industry, trade and services rendered. It is this evolution of the agricultural activities for the urban ones that intends to analyze in this article, taking as cutting the process of development of the area West of Paraná.
