O autor do livro ora resenhado recebeu sua formação de doutorado em filosofia
pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Dentre suas atuações, o Prof. Dr.
Kahlmeyer-Mertens é membro efetivo da Max Scheler Gesellschaft e da Nordic Society
for Phenomenology. Atua como professor da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do
Paraná - UNIOESTE sendo também colaborador da Universidade Estadual de
Maringá – UEM.
