Abstract

The Rhythmic Gymnastics project in Marechal Cândido Rondon-PR aimed to provide children aged 6 to 12 with the opportunity to practice this modality, emphasizing its playful, creative, and social aspects. Using a methodology based on practical lessons, the project involved 60 children and offered experiences with specific equipment and basic Rhythmic Gymnastics fundamentals. Results included performances at cultural events, participation in regional competitions, and a positive impact on the local sports scene. It concludes that the initiative fostered the development of the sport in the municipality and established the university as a knowledge dissemination hub.
