Leisure in the rivers of the municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon - PR

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the leisure activities practiced in the rivers of Marechal Cândido Rondon-PR and their potential for the sustainable development of tourism and recreation. The research was conducted through a geographical survey and direct observation of activities carried out in the region’s main drainage channels. The results indicated that rivers are used for leisure activities such as fishing, water sports, camping, and ecological trails. However, it was found that many of these spaces lack adequate infrastructure and environmental planning. It is concluded that the sustainable development of leisure in rivers can enhance environmental conservation and promote local tourism, provided that actions are implemented to minimize negative impacts and optimize the use of these natural resources.
