Abstract

The general objective of the present study was to analyze the contributions of the great fortunes to global and regional economies. Based on surveys and similar studies, it reached relevant result that justifies the non-application of the tax after thorough analyses of several favorable and unfavorable opinions on the subject. The results found show that despite the short-term benefits that could arise from the application of the tax, make up the harm caused by its institution in the medium and long-term generating a drop in government collections.
