Semantic reflexions on proper names

This article deals with the semantic values of proper names, from the standpoint of the linguistic theory of language sign, as opposed to the conceptions of modern philosophy and logic. It reflects on the deictic character of proper names and its symbolisms, including nicknames, and other forms of naming persons and places.
