Abstract

The autobiographical and written studies of themselves have been growing in the last decades. Increasingly, we have authors reflecting on their own work and literature, while contemplating critical writing and creative writing, in which these two activities often merge into one, leaving a hybrid text to appear. It is from this perspective that it is proposed to carry out the present text, considering, above all, the potential of the self-written and autobiographical ones. In contemporary Latin American literary production, autobiographical and memoiristic writing has been demonstrated as a vigorous strategy to think and to create are those aspects that this article will observe in the work to Live To Tell (2002) by Gabriel García Márquez, work in which the author uses metaphor of the house to construct his own memory space.
