Abstract

The body is a recurring component in Adélia Prado's poems. Some critics, such as Augusto Massi, Antonio Hohlfeldt and Affonso Romano Sant’Anna, when shedding light on Adelianpoems, mention, respectively, the formation of a living organism, a discourse that questions the domestication of the body and a visceral poetics. However, their approaches veil traces of the multiplicity of existing bodies and present there, starting from an optics that understands the body as unity and totality, in addition to treating the body in a traditional way. In this perspective, we have the present article that proposes a reading of some poems by Adélia Prado, taken from Poesia Reunida(2015), intending to develop this question a little more.
