a reading of dramaturgy Prova de fogo,by Consuelo de Castro

The article analyzes the play Prova de fogo, by Consuelo de Castro, under the bias of the historical document. The play sometimes it was forgotten by the critics brings up the factual aspect about occupation of Faculdade de Filosofia at USP by the student movement in the year 1968. In this act of defense to democratic actions, Castro undertake a fictional structure, involving reader in the narrative, but also explaining historical criteria of repression and violence which concern the social, economic and politicmoments from Brazil in the late 1960s. The literary analysis of the play by Consuelo de Castro is, therefore, in articulation with the theatrical brazilian criticism from authors as Sábato Magaldi (1997), Elza Cunha de Vincenzo (1992) and Yan Michalski (1989).
