O Nome Próprio e suas Implicações na Poesia de Juana de Ibarbourou e Carolina Maria de Jesus

The women writers of 20th century Latin America share edges in their poetic production precisely because they inscribe their experience of being a woman on the continent. In the case of the poetry of Juana de Ibarbourou (Uruguay, 1892-1979) and Carolina Maria de Jesus (Brazil, 1914-1977), these experiences are distanced by their places of speech, that is, their experience as women and black women. A very strong thread between the two is the incorporation of the first name in the texts and how this functions as a mechanism of authorial affirmation. The article aims to delve deeper into this theme with Derrida (2014), Arfuch (2010) and Conceição Evaristo (2020), in particular, as well as opening up the range of “invisible collage” (PIZARRO, 2004) and thinking about the connections between women from different countries and places of speech.
