Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the contribution of Father Paul Charbonneau-Eugène associated with combating drug use in school. Father Charbonneau arrived in Brazil in 1959 and until his death, in 1987, was a tireless educator, leaving several works devoted to the family, sexuality, education, religion and drugs, subject of this article. The research, bibliographic, was based on the works that deal with the subject in the period in which this religion was in Brazil from 1959 to 1987. To achieve this goal, the article contains a description of the world of drugs, with the analysis of some substances and what they provide to the user, in the Father Charbonneau vision and other authors who keep convergence with him. From this knowledge, the next step was to analyze the school paper on drugs and its importance to fight this addiction. Finally, it brings a pedagogy of prevention directed at young people seeking the ways of drugs and end up having a lot of difficulties to get out of the addiction.
