Abstract

The book Human Rights, written by historian Marco Mondaini, brings together 50 writings of various dates and nature, selected because they fulfilled important roles throughout the cycles of affirmation of Human Rights in the world. Since the first cycle - occurred throughout the XVII and XVIII centuries, with the gradual emergence of a new hegemonic mode of production, the capitalism - to the stage of dealing with the defense of the effective implementation and expansion of the hall of Rights, successive movements and writings contributed to the composition of a culture of Human Rights, tradition that influenced the making of the Universal Declaration of 1948.
