Abstract

This article aims to discuss aspects of the field of education as a possibility for local development, seeks to show how the school education which is being implemented in different environments of urban (rural) may contribute to the local development process. Considering that the country is going through a time of change political, economic and social development which has been hypothesized by their relevance arises in this scenario, the absence of specific educational policies left the countryside at the mercy of this process. However, seeing the unveiling of the current debate on education field as educational proposal for these geographic areas, we see the prospect of intentions and possibilities of promoting local development. These reflections come from the theoretical bases of a research Masters and bibliographical physical and virtual.
