Abstract

In 2020, the pandemic of COVID-19, a highly transmissible viral disease, has transformed the student’s lifestyle during this atypical period. In this sense, there was a need to adapt schools to the moment. Without being able to attend teaching rooms, the schools started remote teaching, using media and new methodologies to decrease the learning, mainly those in the literacy process. As part of the activities developed in the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID), students of pedagogy course at the State University of Western Paraná, Cascavel campus, attended a storytelling project. This instrument facilitates literacy, stimulates imagination, helps to improve learning and discovery of technical literacy words, which also stimulates creativity. This article aims to report the experience of choosing, producing and telling stories for students between 6 to 8 years old, as well as the challenge and difficulties of developing this project in an atypical moment.
