Abstract

This study aimed to characterize the kindergarten, in the municipality of Cacoal/RO, and examine the educational policies for the training of professionals who work on this level. The quality of education in early childhood education is a fundamental struggle at the moment of this level of inclusion in the Brazilian educational system. Given this, a first time a search was conducted literature on early childhood education policy and teacher training. Subsequently, a search field with teachers this level regarding interfaces of care and educate, in addition to providing a reflection on the importance of the role of the same in such environments. The data presented by the search indicate that the prevailing tendency to understand the care and education as a mere association of two different functions: one for the zeal; another, concerned about the repasse of knowledge and standards of behavior. The reality has shown that confusion and difficulties installed over decades of this practice in institutions, where care refers to the idea of welfarism, and to educate the teaching/learning. Finally, it is understood that in the field of educational policies for the training of teachers for early childhood education deserves special attention of public policy education.
