Abstract

In the first decades of the last century, Latin American intellectuals have had primary roles in the process of developing educational concepts based on theoretical-political conceptions of the so-called New School, for the training of a "new man" to a targeted society to modernity. Here we highlight the history of some of them, specifically the Juan Mantovani in Argentina and Teixeira in Brazil, in order that they acted in their positions, functions, implementation of schools, left a considerable production, with reference to the pedagogy the new school, particularly based on John Dewey (1859-1952).
