Abstract

This article, originally part of a Master's thesis, aims to discuss the proposal of scholarly research as a pedagogical principle. Methodologically, of qualitative nature, the empirical material on one side consisted of government proposals documents from state high schools of Rio Grande do Sul state from the 1990s and the proposal of the Manifesto of the Pioneers of the 1930s. On the other, a theoretical review was carried out about ideas about research, teaching and teacher. These materials were analyzed taking as theoretical support a set of Foucault's notions, such as continuity and discontinuity in the history of events and the analysis of documents. The study of these materials allowed to infer that the principle of education for the research came into existence in the 1930s in the Pioneers Manifesto of the document and the state government proposed documents from the 1990s appears that Research in Primary School yet It not gained momentum as a pedagogical principle that permeates all school subjects. The school survey is powerful to think of other ways of creating in teaching and other school modes with respect to teaching and learning of students and teachers more so (re) inventive and (re) creative. It called for the connecting hyphen proposal needed to compose a professor and researcher words, resulting in teacher-researcher. In addition, this study will encourage others to discussions about the theme - school research - permeating mainly in the areas of teacher training.
