Teacher education from the perspective of interdisciplinarity

Abstract

This article show the results of an interdisciplinary work of the undergraduate course of letters, together with three teachers DCHT Campus XVI of UNEB. The proposal was to promote the integration of content into three curriculum components of the first half, namely: LE0084 - Establishment of Linguistic Studies, LE0002 - Meaning and context and ED0025 - Pedagogical Practice I, in order to mark the importance of interdisciplinary activities as proposed training and evaluation of the Portuguese language teacher. The project developed procedural and systematic way from theoretical reflections in the classroom that culminated in textual production activity, through workshops, followed by the organization of a seminar involving students of all semesters. The theoretical framework that was adopted for the forwarding activity, was based on language reflections about the nature of names focusing on the social function of the use of words. In this sense, we walked up the Saussurean ideas about the structure of language. It appealed also to Paulo Freire (1996) and Finance (1994) with a view to support the skills and abilities inherent to the teacher, in order to associate the ideas of these authors to the requirements in school today are the mother tongue teachers. The activity allowed, among other things, that students understand the role of the university in the training of letters professionals, focusing on interdisciplinarity not as an exercise that only makes post academic training, but during university education. This project was realized as a practical possibility of performing similar activities in basic education, gabaritando student letters to exercise with greater autonomy, critical reflection and their university education.
