Abstract

This article aims to problematize concepts about the “Gender Ideology”, which are present in videos posted at YouTube. To this end, sexuality is presented in a historical, social and political perspective, considering notions of gender and changes occurred in the familiar institution, in accordance with the society evolution, besides exposing the need for sexual education in educational institutions, in order to problematize misconceptions about this subject; also, there is the intention to address topics that discuss overcoming prejudices around sexual orientation. The methodology adopted was the bibliographic research, corroborating the need for deconstruct preconceived conceptions about gender and sexual diversity. Through the research, we verify the dichotomy between sex and gender, homosexuality and pedophilia, besides finding that the sexual education does not interfere in sexual orientation of an individual.
