Abstract

This paper presents a theoretical reflection on the initial training courses for teachers in higher education that has emerged on the national scene, the Interdisciplinary Undergraduate. The goal is to point out some conditions that produced the formulation and implementation of Interdisciplinary Undergraduate on the national scene, explaining these processes. It is not intended to discuss the concept of interdisciplinarity or even the design of training by this course. In this work the question arises: Why were proposals Undergraduate Interdisciplinary? To that arise? What are the foundations that support its implementation? It is concluded in this study that the implementation of the Interdisciplinary Undergraduate guided by economic, political and social determinants.
