Abstract

The guidelines for educational policy in Brazil to introduce a relevant influence of the International Organizations, based on liberal assumptions. Considering financial loans, technical assistance and the conditions that these agencies impose on developing countries such as Brazil, as well as the understanding that social policies, among them educational ones, constitute a process of structural adjustments, we consider this work, From a bibliographical review of authors dedicated to this subject, to the analysis of the influence of International Organizations in education and, above all, in Professional Education in Brazil. We observed that the molds of this type of education are increasingly linked to the concepts of employability and competitiveness, in line with the development of the globalization of the economy and with the changes in the productive sector accentuated in Brazil in 1990 with the process of ongoing productive restructuring.
