Abstract

Which class teachers belong? In this paper, we attempt to present some theoretical conclusions about the conceptualisation of workers in education in terms of their position in the social structure. Even though these reflections arise from a research about teachers of primary and secondary schools in Argentina, and more specifically from the city of Buenos Aires, we hope it can provide elements to distinguish between proletarianization and pauperization, as different processes, but often confused.
