Abstract

The goal of this article is to analyze the emphasis in the curricular flexibilization in the referrals of the educational policy for high schools in the present time. We will approach national and international documents from the 1990s and on, in particular the Innovative High School Education Program (PROEMI), relating them to the economic and political changes in this context. Considering that the elaboration and implementation of educational public policies are marked by social contradictions and political disputes, we conclude that the curricular flexibilization is a proposal that corresponds to the requirements of the new model of flexible base productive accumulation.
