Abstract

This article argues that the hypothesis that the method of Mathematical Modeling is an adequate strategy adjusted for the teaching of mathematics teaching in the context of Alternation Pedagogy. A brief presentation of Alternation Pedagogy is made, highlighting some elements that give theoretical-methodological support for this methodology, as well as it is presented a concept of Mathematical Modeling. Finally, as arguments to strengthen the relevancy of the hypothesis, that we are working, some aspects are highlighted which suggest proximity between the underlying conceptions of learning to both the methods.
