Implementation and monitoring of indicators in a homecare micro-enterprise

Abstract

This is a case study that aims to highlight the need to implement and monitor performance indicators in a micro-enterprise that had a lack of control over its internal process. This analysis is justified by the organizational importance and efficiency in translating the organization's performance provided by performance indicators and by the high mortality rate of Brazilian micro and small companies. The problem observed in a micro-company in the health sector resulted in bottlenecks in the protocol for dispensing and transporting inputs to the clients and consumers served. The methodology applied consisted of situational analysis, proposition of improvement measures and implementation of these improvements, with their subsequent analysis, the duration of the entire study cycle comprising a period of two months in that company. It was concluded that the application of indicators in the company led to significant improvements in internal processes, generating the gains expected by the company's managers.
