Abstract

The field school presents as design contributions in the process of social transformation of subjects inserted in the field and, in transforming feature, has been the focus of numerous academic research. Thus, this paper aims to present a metaestudo held from items available in the Capes Portal on Education Field and Field Schools, is a qualitative research. Were located, during the period 2008 to 2015, 26 articles on the subject, which are analyzed. To the questions of whether the national scientific production approach the identification of the school profile being formed in the field and the profile identified is considered to have the potential to meet the education field and its specific features, this study intends to promote on reflection the difficulties and possibilities of Rural Education to meet the educational demands of the population that context, according to the analyzes of different authors published in journals. To meet the objective of the research, the work was divided into a brief literature review on the trajectory of Rural Education, by focusing on schools located in the field and subsequently the methodology, categorization and analysis of the localized articles. Finally, they highlighted the important achievements under the Brazilian legislation in the field of education scenario, however evidenced hindering elements for effective structuring of educational profile consistent with such legislation and the population's needs.
