Abstract

This article deals with the relationship between research, teaching practice and teachers education. After rethinking the criticism to which research in education has been subjected, this article points to the specificity of scientific research, its characteristics, its structural aspects and its functions as a cognitive objective process. The distinction between methods and methodology is examined; so as to enhance the need for combined methods to analyze practices, and to consider the process from a four-pole-structure. Finally, the relationships between research and practice are considered regarding teacher development education.
