Abstract

Brazil, as a large agricultural producer, has high levels of use of pesticides in its production, with an imminent risk of incorrectly disposing of the packaging of these products, polluting the environment. For this reason, rural producers must know exactly how they should dispose of or return packaging that has already been used. The main objective of this work is to verify how the reverse logistics of pesticide packaging is carried out in the city of Maringá and the region. To this end, an interview was carried out with the coordinator of the collection center for these packages, located in Maringá, which serves the city and the region, which represents 25% of the state of Paraná. According to the results, the planning sector means that this operation, which begins with rural producers, and continues until receipt at the plants, has great environmental importance and requires financing from industries and resellers to remain active.
