Abstract

This study aimed to discuss the importance of identifying and recognizing the city as a text to be read, interpreted, and learned by high school students and participants in the extension course "Textual and Intercultural Productions" at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). To achieve this objective, a didactic sequence was established, and Action Research was chosen as a means to capture and generate data for interpretation. Literacy practices significantly contributed to students' understanding of the relevance and importance of the city in their education.
